The Annual 'SA Montessori' PD Day was held on Saturday August 14th at the Belair Country Club.

The day provided an eclectic but invigorating array of presenters, all facilitated by Barbara Langford.

We started the morning finding our character strengths and team ethos with Jane Wundersitz.

After a delicious lunch it was time to consider ethical and child-centred behaviour support strategies, and to look at when it's time for formal intervention.

The day ended with some music and movement, courtesy of the inspirational Adriana Francescangeli.

Registration has just opened for the 2017 International Montessori Congress (IMC) in Prague. As we excitedly look forward to this special event we are also looking back on the last IMC, which was held in Portland, Oregon back in 2013. The Congress is a unique experience - a major milestone in the Montessori world where educators from all over the globe come together to share information and inspiration. The speakers and sessions are always invigorating and enlightening - but perhaps the best part of the Congress is the opportunity to visit Montessori schools and centres. There is something incredible about seeing a diverse range of prepared environments that share common threads yet express their unique character in countless ways.
